"Do Super Bowl parties set themselves apart from other gatherings of friends and family?
These annual events do seem to have a cachet of their own that mostly involves the burning of calories by hooting, hollering, wailing and fist-pumping. And let's not forget the flexibility required to survive four quarters: hoisting a cold one, leaping from the sofa, lunging at the TV and the delicate balancing act of carrying a mountainous amount of food on a small plate across a room.
It's hard for me to take this party seriously, since I'm not a football fan. Each year that I do this story, I have to ask someone in our sports department what teams are playing. Includes recipe for:

  • Homemade Barbecue Potato Chips

  • Pulled Pork Lasagna

  • Muffuletta

  • Football Brownies

  • GAME-DAY POTATO PIZZA

  • Taco Meatball Ring
