Recipe News: Kid-friendly chicken nugget recipe includes potato chips

As this recipe from Tate Dawson, an 8-year-old from Doylestown, Pa., illustrates, it's never too early to get your children in the kitchen, especially when you can lure them by encouraging experimentation using their favorite foods as ingredients.

Here, Tate gives a new twist to chicken nuggets by incorporating barbecue potato chips as a coating. While I am sure many youngsters could probably come up with an all-inclusive potato chip meal, in this entree the coating adds flavor and crunch without being overwhelming. Parents can also take solace in knowing the nuggets are baked instead of fried.

And what the heck, since the kids are giving Mom or Dad the night off from cooking, go all out by serving their favorite sides, too.

Includes recipe for:

  • Barbecue Potato Chip Chicken Nuggets
