Recipe News: Crock-Pot recipes for single eaters

Recipes are usually tailored for four, six, sometimes even eight servings, and a lot of conveniences are not all that convenient for them. The slow cooker, friend of busy people who want to come home to a ready-to-eat hot meal, is one of the utensils pretty much out of their reach, unless they like a lot of leftovers. Bay Area award-winning cookbook author Beth Hensperger has taken pity upon this group and has written a follow-up of her well-received "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook," published two years ago. The new book is, a little confusingly, called "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Recipes for Two," and is crafted exclusively for the small crock pot of anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3-quart capacity.
