"As babies, Sandra Dickson's three children, now teenagers, were fed baby food made from scratch. Dickson found preparing her own food easy and economical.
Apricot and sweet potato purée was a favorite treat.
Also, "I would just take whatever we were eating and chop it up or grind it up, preseasoning," she said.
Dickson worked a couple of days ahead and stored her homemade baby meals in the refrigerator. A mini food processor became her best friend. She didn't care for the baby-food grinder, a small device similar in looks to an electric pepper mill."
