Recipes: Go nuts with these unusual recipes
These two new cookbooks, Lee Zalben's "Peanut Butter & Co. Cookbook: Recipes from the World's Nuttiest Sandwich Shop"
, and Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough's latest entry in their "ultimate" cookbook series, "The Ultimate Peanut Butter Book : Savory and Sweet, Breakfast to Dessert, Hundereds of Ways to Use America's Favorite Spread"
feature unusual twists on some everyday recipes, using, of all things, peanut butter.
"If I didn't really love peanut butter, I'd question whether we need two new cookbooks dedicated to the ingredient. Two cookbooks that have nearly identical covers, at that.
But it is peanut butter, after all. And while my own master recipe is no more complicated than eating it by the spoonful, I'm always open to consider new ways to work it into my cooking."
Includes recipe for:
- GRILLED CHEESE WITH PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH
- SENEGALESE PEANUT STEW
- CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER RASPBERRY FREEZE
