Recipe News: Get creative with pumpkin recipes

"Fresh pumpkin is featured in the following recipes, but cooks can substitute the canned version. Just make sure to use plain canned pumpkin, not pie mix.

Fresh-cooked pumpkin fruit is milder and more appealing in flavor than the canned product. It also has more liquid, so make certain to drain the cooked pumpkin and pureed pulp well before using in the quick bread or other recipe."
